“The Performer’s Mind” offers an insight into common mental barriers to performance that dancers, singers and actors encounter, such as stress, anxiety, and self-doubt.
With practical hints and helpful strategies, this workshop will show you how mental skills training can help to improve performance, deal with negative thoughts and emotions, and achieve your personal best.
Peta Blevins presents this seminar in a warm and welcoming environment in which to discuss the mental obstacles performing artists may face and gives you the tools to approach personal challenges with confidence.

Peta graduated from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance with a master’s degree in Dance Science and is currently undertaking a PhD in Performance Psychology and Dance at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts. Peta is also a qualified theatrical dance teacher and has trained and performed in Australia and the UK in a variety of dance styles including jazz, tap, classical ballet, acrobatics, commercial jazz and street dance, and has sung with the Variety Youth Choir (WA) and Some Voices (London). Peta has taught at Pineapple Dance Studios and Greenwich Dance Agency, and is currently a freelance dance educator and researcher specialising in Dance Psychology and Safe Dance Practice.
