Zabelle

Zabelle teaches in several locations around Melbourne and performs widely both there and interstate.   Here she is dancing with Bellyslap at the Darebin Music Festival:

Unlike many dance schools, Zabelle teaches daytime as well as evening classes.  Find the timetable plus more information about Zabelle on her website, Zabelleydance.com (love the name!)

Sianna

Sianna is a teacher and choreographer based in Footscray in Melbourne, and part of the Hipnotic Beats dance troupe, seen here dancing to Bidajeej, a drum solo written by Anita Larkin and played by Bellyslap:

For details of her classes or to book an event, visit the Hipnotic Beats website.

Alia

Thanks to Bellyslap Drummers for sending me this clip of Alia in action at Toula's Kismet Bazaar.

I like the choreography because it has that element of surprise - at first you think she's dancing with a veil, then you realise it's double veil - then, no wait, it's double veil-pois!

Alia performs at several venues around Melbourne, both solo and also with Pamela as the bellydance duo Harissa.  Book through her website, Bellydancealia.

Barbara

Barbara Wolfcamp has been performing and teaching belly dance for almost 20 years, and still travels to Egypt annually to keep updated. Her Melbourne school, Bellydance Kizmet, offers classes in four different locations.

Here's Barbara performing at the Mind Body Spirit Festival in Melbourne:

and some of her students at the same venue:

Marina Bistrin

Marina takes fusion to a new level - she studies and teaches many different, but related, styles of dance including Middle-Eastern, Silk-Road, East European Gypsy and Flamenco. The clip below shows a Silk-Road inspired dance, but Tribal dancers will recognise the fans!

Marina is based in Melbourne and her website is appropriately named Dance Explorer.

Jasmina

Princess Jasmina is one of Melbourne's busiest belly dancers, performing at venues all over the city.  Watching this clip, one can see why she's so popular!

(note - some of this video is shot sideways, but it's worth making the effort to watch it as she has some lovely moves)

She often dances in a duo with male belly dancer Chris, and can be contacted through his website.

Her own school, AML Golden Sands Studios, is in South Melbourne.

Azura

Having just written about the Tribal belly dancer Azzura reminds me I haven't yet featured for the other Azura, with one "z". The lighting in this video clip is not the best, but it's worth perservering as she displays a wonderful variety of moves - love the back bends!

Azura's Oasis in Brunswick, Melbourne, offers not just belly dancers and Bollywood dancers, but Tarot readers, numerologists, palmists and more. Check out her website at www.azurabellydance.com.au.

The clip below shows a selection from some of their shows.
