belly dance swordYou won't find my profile on this site because I don't teach or dance professionally.  I'm just proud to be part of the Australian sisterhood of belly dancers.

Belly Dance Oz started as a personal video collection of the many wonderful bellydancers we have in Australia, and grew into a site which I hope everyone enjoys as much as I do.

Students - please leave a comment to support your favourite teacher.   Dancers - email me, and I'll be happy to set up your profile.

Listing is free:  please keep it that way by choosing to use our Belly Dance Shop when buying belly dance costumes and accessories on eBay.  It will cost you no more, but helps support the site.

Happy shimmying,

Dorothy

Note: I'm often asked why I don't have a separate listing for belly dance schools, like Annabella's bellydance directory.
Ask any student where she studies, and she's unlikely to say, "Amera's Palace" or "Inspire Bellydance".  She'll say, "I go to Georgette (at Amera's Palace) " or "I go to Rachel's in Paddington".    The choice of teacher is very personal, and (I believe) more important than the school's reputation.
The aim of this  site is to showcase teachers in action to make that choice easier, as well as giving brides and event organizers confidence when booking a dancer for a performance.
