Idell Wadley will be well known to Queensland belly dancers as the founder of the Dancing Tiger belly dance school.  She retired, but we might’ve known Idell couldn’t be idle for long!

She has started teaching again at the Hip Twitch School of Ethnic Dance in Ipswich.

Idell’s video isn’t what you’d normally expect on this site!   She and one of her assistant teachers, Rachelle, appeared on Australia’s Got Talent as ‘Cleofatra”, a bellydance/burlesque type act that certainly got the judges’ attention!

Unfortunately, unlike Ferah, they didn’t make it past the semi-finals – but it was great to see belly dance represented on television for once!

Of course, Idell doesn’t dress (or talk!) like that in real life, but the performance is a good indication of her bubbly personality and sense of fun.   Her teaching philosophy is “fun, fitness and self-acceptance”.

This is such a great resource that you are providing and you give it away for free. I enjoy seeing websites that understand the value of providing a prime resource for free. I truly loved reading your post. Thanks!
