Dee has a passion for sword and travels around Australia sharing her "Deadly Sword" approach. Her workshops are always packed, and deservedly so - I attended one last year and learned lots of relevance, even though I'm not a Tribal dancer.
Well, I did meet Dee and took her Sword workshop at the festival. I found it thoroughly nerve-wracking, even though Dee was very good at reassuring us – I’m not sure I’m cut out for sword work (pardon the pun!). It was a great experience though, as I’d never tried sword before and it was great to have the chance to practice with a real one, instead of making do with a cane.
